Covered California Conducts Testing for Fresno Service Center Jobs

Program Technician Hiring Exam Scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8

FRESNO, Calif. — Covered California™ will conduct examinations for positions in its Fresno Service Center on Saturday, Feb. 8.

There is no on-site registration for the exam. All candidates must preregister online beginning Wednesday, Feb. 5, and print their notice to appear in order to gain entrance to the exam. The notice will provide candidates the time and location details.

Covered California’s Service Center representatives assist customers in understanding health care coverage options available through Covered California, help determine eligibility for premium assistance or medical, and enroll Californians in health insurance plans.

Written tests will be administered for program technician positions at the Fresno Service Center at 7201 N. Palm Ave., in Fresno. Testing sessions for Program Technician 2 positions are at 8 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and testing for Program Technician 3 positions are at 3 p.m.

Each testing session can accommodate 200 slots. Hiring began in August for Service Center staff positions. At full capacity, the Fresno Service Center may employ up to 500 technicians.

To be eligible for hire, applicants must pass the test, which includes reading, writing and math. The salary for the Program Technician 2 positions is $2,638-$2,975 per month ($15.22-$17.16 per hour), and the salary for the Program Technician 3 positions is $2,951-$3,209 per month ($17.03-$18.51 per hour).
