What’s Happening
Why Your Costs May Change in 2026
In 2021, the federal government increased financial help for most people until Dec. 31, 2025. Unless Congress acts, expanded financial help is set to end after 2025, which would result in higher premiums for many enrollees in 2026.
Your monthly premium payment will stay the same for 2025
Your monthly premium will remain the same through the end of 2025, as long as there are no changes to your income, household size, or other factors that affect your insurance.
Monthly premiums may increase in 2026
Unless Congress extends the extra tax credits, you may get less financial help paying for your health insurance plan in 2026.
